Hi friends!
Welcome to our mid-apocalyptic summer, where the air is poison and the outside will air-fry your pets!
If you can’t afford camp and your kids are stuck indoors all day this summer - I feel you.
To keep the kids busy (and yourself sane), here’s our Rainy Day Social Justice Activity collection, straight from the secret resource library of the Luminary Braintrust.
Whether you’re managing toddlers or tweens, these activities spark emotional regulation, compassion-building, and a taste for the blood of our oppressors.
(j/k but also not.)
What’s the Luminary Braintrust?
In addition to building free family action toolkits, every week I create new tools like this for our Luminary Braintrust (LBT) community to spark deep conversations and build our family’s advocacy skills together.
From Family Movie Night rants to guided workshops on dismantling internalized supremacy, we’ve got… basically every resource anyone has ever asked me to create in the past 9 years. (Which is a lot).
While this little toolbox is typically locked for Luminary Braintrust Members only, summers are getting harder for everybody.
So I’m sharing our Rainly Day collection free for everyone in our community - in hopes it makes your summer just a little bit easier.
Join us - or donate to support my work (so we can afford camp!) by becoming a paid subscriber.
Coming up next
I’ll be back in a couple weeks with a new August Family Action Toolkit!
with you,
Ashia
PS: And a little something just for you grown-ups. If you missed this Summer’s Collective, you can still social-distance dance party with us with the Summer Accelerator Mix Tape. (Not kid-friendly, soooo much salty language!)
