How to keep calm while your kids lose it
Tools & strategies for caregivers while the world turns upside down
What if our kids could move on without throwing a fit?
And what if we made space for our kids (and ourselves) to move through each day with less arguing and resistance?
If your kiddos are feeling anxious about a big move, a new school, or just switching up a daily routine - how do you prevent them from spiraling into anxiety and taking it out on you?
Help your kids reclaim a sense of control and security with a guide to getting through chaotic days without losing your mind. The brilliant minds behind the Luminary Braintrust have banded together to share a range of helpful, accessible, and goofy resources to keep the peace when family life turns sideways.
Our free guides & tools include children’s stories, caregiver bingo, a podcast, printable planners, reflection activities, parenting guides, handy-dandy checklists, and more.
Particularly for neurodivergent families like ours who rely on routine - change can be hard. So let’s pool our resources and make this a little easier for each other.
Find what you need to support your kids through this next stage.
While ordinarily our Collab Lab resources are for locked Luminary Braintrust members only, We’re sharing these goodies for free to all Ignition Notes subscribers throughout the month of January 2024.
Awesome supporters like Erica S., our newest LBT member, help me support caregivers like you. Everybody appreciates Erica S.!
Fall Frazzlies Check-Ins
For Grownups
Oh no. Have you become beset by the fall frazzlies?
Inspired by Alison L., keep this this handy-dandy checklist on hand to get a grip.
Join the Luminary Braintrust as we giggle through ridiculous shenanigans like this Fall Frazzlies Self Check-In.
Coming up next: I’m gonna bother you about the Winter Incubator!
Is this getting annoying yet? Oh gosh I hope not.
But I would also feel terrible if you are genuinely causing harm to those around you and need support being a less resentful, grouchy caregiver. Or mabe you just need some nudges to get oast some fears about not fitting in, or misconceptions that this would add to your workload instead of make life easier. (Quite the opposite!)
Maybe you’re nervous about meeting new people. Or the registration cost is a barrier, but don’t know about the sliding scale. Or maybe (probably) I haven’t done a good job explaining what the Winter Incubator is, and you’re just kind of confused and feel silly asking questions about it.
So next week I’ll be like “:::poke poke:::, yes please DO join us.” Assuming we haven’t filled up the remaining 4 spots. Meanwhile, hit ‘reply’ as I’m eager to hear your silly questions, hesitations, and concerns.
Thank you for your patience while I wrestle with the discomfort of bothering you about this cool life-changing thing against my worry that there are folks out there who are over-hustling to the detriment of the movement but haven’t worked up the nerve to join us.
with you,
Ashia
