November is for Raising Responsible Leaders
Don't try to do it all! Pick one topic and build upon what you learned each year.
Hey friends!
This November we take responsibility to care for each other.
As caregivers (or just regular humans), we're tight on time and resources. We have a responsibility to heal the world, but we can only do so much while juggling advocacy and dishes.
Take solace in the knowledge that these discussions and explorations we do together inspire our kids to work toward a better world. Raising kids to examine their internal bias and generational impact - that is next-level action.
The exhaustion, the hardship, the tedious chores and aching muscles, that IS life. That's a gift we get to experience.
Remember that everything here – I made this for you. Cause you are important and you deserve safety, health, and support in the work you do.
Join the Caregiver Winter Incubator
Are you modeling healthy activism for your kids - or saviorism, martyrdom & toxic hustle?
The Winter Incubator is a 6-week virtual collective where we gather with like-minded caregivers who won't judge us for showing up as we are (messy, cussing, and probably a little gassy.)
This is our opportunity to escape social media, embrace our busy brains, and rock them gently - while reclaiming our focus and attention from draining days helping others.
Coming up next…
I’ll be back in a couple weeks with new November Quick Actions, with help from our Quick Action Coordinator, Shannon B.S., author of Growing Sustainable Together. (Bookshop affiliate link)
As always, no one expects you to tackle everything on your own. While, yes, things are unimaginably terrible - together, we’re working for a more inclusive world for all our kids.
And that starts by asking: What responsibility do we have to care for each other?
I super-duper appreciate getting to work on this together with you, your tenacious curiosity, and your big dreams for inclusion and justice <3
With you,
Ashia
PS: Over in the Luminary Braintrust, we’re wrapping up our collaborative project on breaking cycles of generational trauma and getting ready for a new winter topic. Add your voice - what should we focus on next?
PPS: Thanks to the 11 (that’s moew than last month!) paid subscribers who support my work here, with a grateful welcome to our new supporter, Caitlin! Awesome folks like Caitlin help me provide these toolkits for targeted families who can’t afford a paywall.
